Something for everyone at this stunning vineyard estate
Riversdale Estate Tasmania
Riversdale Estate is one of the premier vineyards in the Richmond – Coal River Valley area. It’s been developed over the year’s into one of the premier destinations in the Richmond – Coal River Valley area.
The estate has been passed through six generations and is now the largest Tasmanian privately owned vineyard in the Coal River Valley. It’s got stunning water views, being closer than the other wineries to the water.
But there are other drawcards to this venue. A luxurious European-style property with a French restaurant, stunning wines, an inviting cellar door for tastings, quiet and 5-star country accommodation and the Peter Rabbit Garden for the children.
Riversdale Estate Winery
Riversdale Estate has received significant acclaim for it’s Syrah, but all of their wines are produced to a high standard. Like most wineries in the Coal River Valley, wines are produced in smaller batches to high standards – a more boutique approach.
Riversdale Estate’s Estate Range use a mix of old and new vines to produce a nouveau style drop. This range includes Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Rose.
The Stellar Range is small batch where each style of wine is named after a start constellation.
Riversdale Estate High Tea
Spend a lazy morning or afternoon relaxing in the Orangery Conservatory. Enjoy the luxurious European architecture, accompanying music and gorgeous food.
All your all high tea favourites are included and done well, such as cucumber sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and excellent pastries.
Riversdale Estate High Tea is served at 10:30am and also at 2:00pm. All food is prepared on the same day – to avoid disappointment we recommend booking.
Riversdale Estate Cottages
The French architecture theme continues throughout Riversdale’s accommodation, with seven French Provincial themed cottages.
They’re self contained with cooking facilities and a beautiful old-fashioned style claw foot bath.
This is a great place to stay after an afternoon dining at the restaurant or enjoying a function. It’s also great for families if you want to show the country and Peter Rabbit garden to young children.
Peter Rabbit Garden
Yes this was inspired by the original Beatrix Potter books. The story of Peter rabbit unravels around you as you wander through the garden. See Peter hunting for radishes, playing with Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail and escaping from Mr MrGregor.
This type of attraction is very rare indeed – it’s the only Peter Rabbit Garden in the southern hemisphere!
High Tea is held at the Peter Rabbit Garden on the first Sunday of the month, with two sittings – 10:30am to 12:30pm, and 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Birthday parties can also be arranged.
